You will be taken on a journey of experiences that will re-shape your perception of Plettenberg Bay.
The Garden Route has been successful in Welcoming back South African Tourism, to both domestic and international visitors, which has been integral in re-establishing some of Plettenberg Bay’s most beloved restaurants, Plettenberg Bay accommodation establishments and tourist attractions. Of course, health protocols are still a major focus point and as such, those enjoying this year’s festival can do so with #plettsartsafely – COVID safety measures in place that will include access control, safety monitors at each venue, mask wearing, social distancing and regular sanitizing.
Get creative and be prepared to discover and appreciate various spheres of art and expression, celebrated and shared across unique settings within Plettenberg Bay. Look forward to locally produced Garden Route wines, good conversation and compelling film screenings and exhibitions. The popular Plett Twilight Meander will occur during the festival period – take to the open streets of Plettenberg Bay for a memorable evening of admiring art under the stars. Plett Fringe will again connect open-minded visitors with gifted poets, actors and comedians.
A unique element of this year’s festival of the arts is Enviral Landart which introduces interactive experiences of guided landart creation during hikes or while kayaking or canyoning. This encourages visitors to embark on outdoor adventures in Plettenberg Bay, met by art and song in wild, outdoor and unusual places. Get ready to be elevated by good music at Plett Sunsets and look forward to numerous contemporary, classic and jazz performances on ocean and river waters, surrounded by the natural assets of the stunning Garden Route.
During the Plett Arts Festival of 2021, hidden gems and secret gardens will surprise, local talents will inspire and delicious food creations will put some of Plett’s best eateries on the map, giving them a much needed boost after a difficult year.
