Plettenberg Bay
The Garden Route’s hotspot “Plett” dons many art galleries, with sandy coves, surfing and seals all year round. It is also one of the most pet-friendly destinations along the coastline.

29 December: Jeremy Loops

The Making Sense art exhibition runs from 5 – 24 December. It’s a celebration of emotion, featuring multi-sensory art installations. Wander through scent-infused rooms, connect with sculptures, listen to complementary audio and try yummy edible pieces. This evocative exhibition pushes the boundaries of what art traditionally is.

13 December: Abba vs. The Beatles
Critics like The Argus, Die Burger and The Cape Times rave about Abba vs. The Beatles, calling it “a must.” This often sold-out show ends in standing ovations for the talent of the Abba girls, guitarist, drums and bassist. George
George is the administrative centre of the Garden Route. It’s the Western Cape’s second biggest city after Cape Town and popular among holidaymakers for its proximity to Wilderness, Herold’s Bay, Victoria Bay and various other beaches. This summer, George will host various sports, music and party events.
13 December: Monkey Swings Hike
Traipse through the Outeniqua mountain range with this family-friendly route. It’s an 8km long trail through the fynbos, forest and mountains, with some added fun on the monkey swings!

28 December: Hike from Victoria Bay to Leentjiesklip
Victoria Bay rests just 3km from George and almost 9km from Wilderness. Start your hike in the gorgeous cove of Victoria Bay, then hike with friendly locals to cross the Kaaiman’s river. You’ll see a cave filled with art. Then, you’ll proceed to Leentjiesklip and grab a sweet treat before heading back.

The dress code is beachwear. They’re also scouting for representatives for their American competition.
