“Our award-winning designers and master goldsmiths craft your unique designs which will surpass your expectations while taking your style and budget requirements into full consideration.  You are involved at every stage and we ensure no detail goes unmissed.  Our warm service and personal one-to-one approach allows us to understand your ideas and transform your vision into superlative quality master pieces, meticulously fashioned by hand.”

At the tender age of 20, Uwe Koetter completed his studies in jewellery design in his hometown of Hamburg, Germany. As the top student in his class, Uwe was offered a job in Southern Africa, Namibia.

After having relocated to Windhoek, one year later Mr Koetter decided to visit Cape Town for a holiday. Little did he know that he was going to fall in love with this city, which very much resembled his home town. On the very day that he arrived in the Peninsula he was not only overwhelmed with the sheer beauty of the city but, as fate would have it, also found a job. Uwe Koetter walked into a jeweller asking whether they had a vacancy for a goldsmith, to which the gentleman (who was astounded by the impromptu behaviour) welcomed the challenge and proclaimed: “if you can work yes, otherwise no”.  As many would say, the rest became history.

The journey of Uwe Koetter started from humble beginnings back in 1968. Soon after founding the business, Uwe and Magda Koetter gained reputation for cutting edge design, master craftsmanship and a finely trained eye for detail. Considered to this day as highly skilled and trained purveyors of magnificent gold and diamond jewellery pieces has resulted in Uwe Koetter receiving a host of prestigious awards.

These awards speak volumes and clearly place Uwe Koetter as an innovative world leader jewellery design. Clients of Uwe Koetter range from royalty, heads of state, celebrities as well as loyal local and international clients. The overall philosophy and ethos is simple with a focus on excellence in both service and quality.
