Die Beloofde Land is a working lifestyle farm offering beautifully appointed Self-Catering Cottages, situated in the picturesque Langkloof Valley between Knysna and Oudtshoorn.

Set on a vast 860-hectare private estate, this tranquil location offers the discerning traveller a sanctuary from the outside world, an ideal retreat for families, friends and couples to unwind and reconnect in nature.

Accommodation consists of three free-standing and private self-catering cottages, two of which have sparkling swimming poolsand the third, a wood-fired hot tub. Each unit is built and designed to harmoniously blend into the natural environment. Two units sleeps four each, and the third two people only – ideal for a couple or solo-traveller. Special features include indoor fireplaces and fast satellite WiFi.

On-site activities include swimming in one of their three dams, bass fishing, guided hiking trails down to the river and to Bushman cave to see ancient rock paintings, birdwatching, as well as unique flora and fauna viewing. Alternatively, relax with a good book next to the sparkling swimming pool, sit on the patio and soak up the unsurpassed views of the breathtakingly beautiful surrounds and at night, light a fire for sundowners and dinner under the vast African sky.

For avid mountain bikers, the Prince Alfred Pass is nearby, as well as some amazing 4×4 routes, art galleries, wine tastinghotspots as well as the well-known Kbuku Pub and Grill.

Ideal for families with children of all ages, group of friends, solo travellers, also being a very romantic spot, it’s perfect for honeymoon couples and others seeking a romantic retreat.

Die Sonvanger: A secluded two-bedroom, off-the-grid cottage. Main room with Queen size bed, en-suite with shower and bath. Second bedroom with Queen size bed, en-suite with shower. Comfortable lounge with indoor fireplace, books and board games. Fully equipped kitchen with fridge, gas stove top and toaster (no oven). Filtered borehole water. Opens onto wraparound undercover verandah with seating arrangements and 360-degree views over the valley, dams and mountains. Swimming pool. Outdoor shower. Additional sundeck with seating arrangements. Boma BBQ/Braai. Own windpump. Gas geyser. Wifi. Higher up on the mountain ridge.

Die Keurboom: A spacious two-bedroom house. Main room with Queen size bed, electric blankets, heated wall panel, en-suite with double shower and large bath with views. Heated towel rails. Bedroom opens onto a generous verandah with views. Second bedroom tucked underneath the house with Queen size bed, electric blankets, en-suite with shower and private nature-experience bathtub plus heated towel rails. Own equipped kitchenette with mini-fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle. Separate entrance. Bedroom opens onto a generous verandah with views. Comfortable lounge with indoor fireplace, books and board games. Opens onto big verandah with seating arrangements and views over the valley and mountains. Guest toilet. En-suite with shower over bath. Filtered borehole water. Wood-fired hot tub. Boma BBQ/Braai. Wifi. A few steps away from Die Keurboom, with uniterrupted views over the farm, valley and mountains.
