Botlierskop Private Game Reserve is a malaria free, family owned 6000 hectare Garden Route game reserve within close proximity to Mossel Bay.

Botlierskop Tented Lodge: Nestled along the tranquil Moordkuil River, the Botlierskop Tented Suites are thoughtfully spaced to ensure a sense of privacy and serenity for every guest. Botlierskop Village Lodge: Set on the northern reaches of the reserve, near the charming town of Friemersheim, The Village Lodge offers a secluded countryside haven, ideal for families. From this serene location, guests can admire sweeping views of the majestic Outeniqua Mountains and experience the golden glow of unforgettable sunsets over the reserve. For younger explorers, a curated collection of activities ensures endless enjoyment. From the Junior Ranger Programme and Kids’ Club to the outdoor playground, pony rides and guided game drives, every moment is designed to inspire adventure and delight. Botlierskop Bush Villas: Tucked away in the serene and secluded northern reaches of the reserve, accessible via the Great Brak River, these beautifully appointed Self-Catering Bush Villas are a hidden gem. The Village Lodge: Features the Bellevue Restaurant and a lively Kids Club. The Kids Club is a vibrant, creative space for young explorers aged 4–7, while children under 3 are also warmly welcome, with optional babysitting services available. Guests can also enjoy both an outdoor cold water pool and a heated pool.

The Day Visitor Center: Facilities include the Spekbos Restaurant, scenic picnic spots and a refreshing swimming pool.

The Main Lodge only accommodates children over 6 years, accompanied by adults. Children 12+ are regarded as adults.

Children of all ages are welcome at The Village Lodge and The Bush Villas.

Only children aged 3+ are allowed on Game Drives. Families with children younger than 3 years olds can book private game drive.
