Jaguar Simola Hillclimb 2015

The annual Jaguar Simola Hillclimb will host it’s sixth running of the event in Knysna, 14 – 17 May 2015.

Competitors and spectators alike flock from across South Africa to be part of this exciting, adrenaline pumping event. It’s one of the Top on the Garden Route Event calendar, not to be missed!

14 May Golf Day: The fourth Knysna Speed Festival Golf Day held at the world-renown Simola Golf Course. It will be the Speed Festival’s charity fund raising event comprising of a mix of competitors, sponsors and sponsors’ guests, local businessmen, media and others. This event will provide sponsors the perfect opportunity to network with potential clients in a relaxed and informal environment.

14 May Supercar Thursday: An exclusive social event for Supercar owners and their vehicles.

15 May Classic Car Friday: Opens competitive proceedings for the Jaguar Simola Hillclimb on Friday 15 May 2015 and caters exclusively for historic, classic and vintage cars. Glorious cars from pre-war to 1980 will grace the hill during the course of the day, while drivers, friends and spectators are encouraged to attend in period dress. The best dressed driver and spectator stand to win exciting prizes on the day.

14 & 15 May Town Parade & Car Display: Classic Car Friday town parade will take place on Thursday afternoon at the Waterfront Car Park. This will be the first time that the Classic Cars have their own parade through the town and it will create a superb spectacle for the public. King of the Hill competitors’ town parade will take place on Friday, starting at the Waterfront Car Park and driving into Main Street. It will prove to be one of Knysna town’s annual highlights!

16 & 17 May King of the Hill Shootout: Where the country’s fastest machinery will duel it out on the hill.

The 2014 event saw each of NSRI, Knysna Animal Welfare and the MG Car Club South Cape (who in turn pass the funds onto a selected charity) receive R 20,000 from the organisers. Knysna Sports School received R 5000. Since starting out, this event has donated over R 200,000 to local charities.
